We had lots of  children join us for our opening Fall service in September.  All of the children and a few of the adults brought their bookbags or their satchels to be blessed.  The talk for this service was about climate change, focusing on the story of Jesus calming the storm from Matthew 8: 23-27 and the story of Moana, who risked everything to restore calm to her island and people.  We discussed ways that we could help the earth and all those who live here.

Our Annual Christmas Pageant was held on December 11, 2016.  The church filled with families and friends and lots of children, all of whom had the opportunity to participate in the presentation of "The 'Twases of Christmas" by Mitch Townley.  This no-fuss, no-rehearsal pageant was a wonderful way to involve all ages in the telling of the story of the birth of Christ.

Our thanks go to everyone:  the readers, the actors, the organisers who kept everything going smoothly and to our musicians, Janis and Gordon for their gift of music.  Thank you also to Bishop Bruce for his generous spirit and presence.

The pictures below tell the story of our presentation from the preparations before the service to the Fellowship enjoyed by all in the Hall following the service.  The food and the presents that were brought in by the children will be going to the local Food Bank.  We have been blessed indeed!

St. Simeon's offers a family service on the second Sunday of each month from February to June, and September to December.  All services are at 9:15 am.  This ministry is fun for all ages and focuses on bringing the Bible stories to children.  Come join us for learning, prayer and singing praise, all in a casual format.  All are welcome.

Our roots:  In September, 1999, a small group of people met to discuss the possibility of offering a monthly worship service geared to the many families living in our area. The first Alternate service was held on October 17, 1999 at 8:45 am with several families and their young children attending. Over the years, the service has evolved and our families have changed, but this worship service continues regularly on the second Sunday of the month from September to June.

All of these services are organized and led by a dedicated group of laity under the guidance of the Priest. All people are welcome to attend and participate in this worship time.
