The Mickaeel Family arrived safely in Montreal in the Spring of 2017 with their two sons, Issa and Elia.  We welcome them to our country.

Meet the Mickaeel family

The Mickaeel family lived in Syria until the civil war forced them to leave for Lebanon. Ghadeer and Darin are both engineers, their son Issa is now 5 years old and their youngest son (born in Lebanon) Elia is now almost 2 years old. Their application for refugee status has been approved by Quebec, and approval by the Federal government is underway. At the moment they are undergoing health checks after which they will come to Canada (probably in a couple of months).

Update:  The Mickaeel Family arrived in Canada in the Spring of 2017 and are presently living in an apartment in Montreal.  Ghadeer is immersed in French courses and will soon be looking for work in the city.  They are very happy to be in Canada and are well cared for by the local community.

If you would like to help to support this family, please read on....

Please pray for all Syrians and for this family as they are resettled in Canada. Pray for all the government officials processing their application. Pray for how we will help to welcome them into their new home. Pray for the participants in the group “Refuge-Aide” who are the official sponsors, and who will do the foot work of settling the family in Montreal.
Right now, along with “Refuge- Aide”,  we want to raise the funds necessary to fund this family for their first year in Canada. The Mickaeel family will live in Montreal where there are many opportunities for jobs, and there are “Syrian” neighbourhoods.
If you would like to support this family, please make your cheque payable to “Holy Trinity Church” and mark either on your cheque or in a note that your donation is for this refugee family. A tax receipt for your donation will be issued at the year
end. Mail it to: Laurentian Regional Ministry Easter Outreach Project,
                               12 Préfontaine Ouest,
Ste. Agathe des Monts, QC  J8C 1C3
Holy Trinity will be disbursing the funds received directly to where this family`s needs are ie. rent, language school, utilities, etc.
Once the family arrives, their specific needs will become clearer, and then we will let you know how to help with your feet, hands and heart.
Let us truly practice our Laurentian hospitality.
If you have any questions please call the Rev. Nick Pang at 450-562-2917.
Thank you for your support.
